Bringing back an old favorite. Every flower is handmade and distinct; each one slightly different than the next. Petals are crafted from worn leather combined with an under or overlay of selected vintage newsprint. Petals are then sewn with thin copper wire and molded to shape. Leaves are made from polished, vintage, silver spoon handles. Stems are made from brass or unpolished metal stock. A combination of leather strips, adhesive, and heavy duty yarn is used to lash all components together. A matte finish is then brushed over the leather. Customizing the flower for a specific design and/or substituting the newspaper for a memorable news clipping is possible (e.g. wedding announcement, obituary, current or past event).
